ABOUT US
WHAT IS INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY?
Inland Imaging’s interventional radiologists specialize in minimally invasive treatments for vascular disease, cancer, aneurysms, uterine fibroids, and many other conditions that once required conventional surgery. These treatments are less risky, offer faster recovery times, and are generally more cost-effective than surgical alternatives.
Interventional radiology uses imaging technology to perform procedures inside the body, often involving the placement of small medical devices to deliver targeted treatment. For example, a tiny catheter can be positioned at a tumor site to send chemotherapy drugs directly to cancer cells.
Our board-certified physicians have specialized training in image-guided procedures, which may be performed using fluoroscopy, ultrasound, MRI, or CT imaging depending on your condition.
